QUESTIONS. ANSWERS.
The rules of the board, before you put money on it.
What am I actually buying?
A square of the board. Your logo fills it, your name sits on it, your link runs from it, and every visitor to the site sees it. From a single 1×1 up to the entire 4×4 grid.
Can someone really just take my square?
Yes. That is the whole game. Anyone can pay the current price and your square is theirs. The moment it happens you get an email naming who did it, with a one-click path to take it back.
What do I get when I'm conquered?
A Reclaim: credit worth 25% of the cash you paid, capped at $250, good for 48 hours. Spend it on your comeback. Losing ground is temporary if you move fast.
How are prices set?
Cells start at $1.00, or $1.50 for the four center cells. Every purchase multiplies a cell's price by 1.25, so contested ground gets expensive. Quiet cells cool off: after 2 untouched hours the price decays 2.5% every 15 minutes, back toward the floor. Taking the whole grid adds a 20% premium.
How long do I keep my square?
Until someone pays to take it. No expiry, no rent, no renewals. Some squares change hands in minutes, some reigns last a very long time.
What do bigger territories get me?
More pixels and more story. A 1×1 carries your logo and link. A 2×2 adds your name in lights. A 3×3 adds your headline. Take the grid and the entire board becomes your billboard: message, description, and a call to action.
Is the link real?
Every placement links straight out to your site, and every brand that ever holds ground gets a permanent page at takethegrid.xyz recording its reigns and battles. Conquest removes you from the board, never from the record.
