TERMS OF SERVICE

1 · WHAT THIS IS
Take The Grid is a promotional game: a fixed 4×4 board of 16 cells. You pay to place a promotional creative on territory, and you hold that territory only until someone else pays to take it. That is the product. Purchases buy a revocable promotional placement, not ownership of anything, not a fixed advertising period, and not a guaranteed audience.
2 · NO REFUNDS FOR CONQUEST
Losing territory to another buyer is the core mechanic, not a fault. When your territory is taken you receive Reclaim credit (25% of the cash you paid, capped at $250, expiring 48 hours after issue, usable for at most 50% of a future purchase, no cash value). You are never refunded for being conquered, however quickly it happens — including seconds after your purchase.
3 · PRICING
Cell prices are dynamic: each purchase raises the price of the cells bought, and prices decay while cells sit quiet. The price you are shown at reservation is the price you pay; prices shown while browsing can change until your 90-second reservation starts. Taking the final cells of the board carries a 20% full-grid premium.
4 · PAYMENTS
Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. If your payment succeeds but the territory can no longer be granted safely (for example your reservation expired first), nothing changes on the board and you are automatically refunded in full. If a payment is refunded or disputed after territory was granted, we may remove the associated placement; board history is never rewound.
5 · YOUR CONTENT
You must have the rights to everything in your creative, and it must follow the content policy. Creatives go live immediately and are moderated reactively: we may disable any creative or remove any placement at any time, without refund, if it breaks the rules. You grant us a licence to display your creative on the board, in the activity feed, in Hall of Fame records and in generated share imagery.
6 · FAIR PLAY
One account per person or brand. Using multiple accounts or payment methods to game conquest, Reclaim or pricing is prohibited; the same payment card cannot conquer territory held by an account it has paid for. We may suspend accounts, void placements and withhold Reclaim where we find abuse, and we rate-limit aggressive automated use.
7 · THE SERVICE
Provided as-is, with no uptime guarantee. We may pause purchasing, change economic parameters prospectively, or end the service; live placements at shutdown receive no compensation beyond what the law requires. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
